The carnation fought with the rose
Underneath a balcony
The carnation came out wounded
And the rose, shattered

The carnation fell ill
And the rose went to visit
The carnation fainted

But soon he woke up

And then in a long embrace,

They had another argument

Then a little girl
Leaned over that balcony
