Un Tempo Piccolo
Tiromancino
A Little Time
I grew up in a short time
I threw myself out of bed to feel free
Getting dressed quickly to not pay attention
to everything I would have left behind
I went down the street and mingled with the traffic
I rolled uphill as if by magic
touching the ground while remaining in balance
I became a tree to sway
I shifted my gaze to look elsewhere
trying to find a way to forget
I painted the soul
on anonymous canvas
and mixed vodka
with tonic water
then I had a late lunch at dinner time
I turned to the book as if it were a person
I looked at the paintings with an ironic air
and I played with memories, trying the risk
then to be reborn under the stars
but I certainly didn't forget a crazy love
in a short time
I deceived the pain with red wine
throwing my heart anywhere
I fell asleep with an old record
among thoughts I don't mention
closing doubts in a mixed meal
I painted the soul
on anonymous canvas
and mixed vodka
with tonic water
then I had a late lunch at dinner time
I turned to the book as if it were a person
I looked at the paintings with an ironic air
and I played with memories, trying the risk
then to be reborn under the stars
but I certainly didn't forget a crazy love
in a short time
and I played with memories, trying the risk
then to be reborn under the stars
but I certainly didn't forget a crazy love
in a short time.
