Tarantula de África
Tiziano Ferro
African Tarantula
I am the African tarantula
I smile thinking of Phoebus
Inside my plexiglass cage
I will protect you from me
And from my venom
They say that free
I killed you by watching you
But you pay your ticket to watch me
And you may want me dead or love me
You will look as much as you want
Squeezing your dad's hand
Go go go, go go
And what will happen next if
The soul is thirsty and
You have fun outside but no one wonders
How easy it is to think of the sun
As a distraction
And maturing my pain
I become an attraction
Trapped by little attention
Order or choice
Repeat with conviction
That life here would have been better
But the best does not resist
How beautiful how sad
Forgetting that pain exists
That pain exists
You are a beautiful butterfly
You smile looking at everything
Perhaps no one will ever watch you
But that matters less now
Much less
They say it's stupid
To give yourself to another tree and
And lie down among branches and a hundred leaves
You no longer know whether to continue or be content
You will look as much as you want
Squeezing your dad's hand
Go go go, go go
And what will happen next if
The soul is thirsty and
You have fun outside but no one wonders
How easy it is to think of the sun
As a distraction
And maturing my pain
I become an attraction
Trapped by little attention
Order or choice
Repeat with conviction
That life here would have been better
But the best does not resist
How beautiful how sad
Forgetting that pain exists
That pain exists
But you pay your ticket to watch me
And you may want me dead or love me
You will look as much as you want
Squeezing your dad's hand
Squeezing your dad's hand
