En Dag På Stranden
Tomas Ledin
A Day At The Beach
I woke up first of all
Took my morning walk
Dressed in worn-out shorts and unshaven
I walked there on my beach
I strolled along with the water
Enjoyed every breath
It was the best moment of the day
The whole summer stood still
I looked out over the sea
Squinted my eyes
It looks like it's going to be a nice day today
It's gonna be a day at the beach
The mornings pass by
We sink into the sand
Letting the day go as it pleases
Maybe it'll be lunch in the shade
A nap, who knows?
Plans will surely change
Anyway, it'll be fine
I turned around
headed home
Saw the boats heading towards land
Met our early morning neighbor
With a beach chair in his hand
Then I went into the house
And brewed our morning tea
Then I woke up my beloved ones
It's gonna be a day at the beach
The mornings pass by
We sink into the sand
Letting the day go as it pleases
Maybe it'll be lunch in the shade
A nap, who knows?
Plans will surely change
Anyway, it'll be fine
Let all the world's phones ring
I'm not available
We let the whole world wait
We're closed for today
Maybe it'll be lunch in the shade
A nap, who knows?
Plans will surely change
Anyway, it'll be fine
It's gonna be a day at the beach
