Disneyland
Tommy Torres
Disneyland
Today I wake up around 10
I stay snuggling a little longer
I have brunch at a nice restaurant
Honestly, my life is ideal
And even though it hasn't always been like this
Today I have so much and more. I have you
I'm not proud to admit
that even so, I want more
(I want more) More of the innocence of yesterday
(I want more) The thrill of the first time
More until there's no more
Like a kid at Disneyland
If it's not asking too much, I want more
I'm from a generation
that does everything in exaggeration
You have to drive the most monstrous truck
You have to have the newest gigantic TV
that can be seen from Pluto
And even though it hasn't always been like this
It took me a while to discover
that in simplicity I'm happier
And still, I want more
(I want more) More of the innocence of yesterday
(I want more) The thrill of the first time
More of that unbearable peace
that I had once
Yesterday I saw on TV
a monk who found the solution
He said his only possession
was that robe he wore and his satisfied face
And even though I don't think I'll get there
it does me a lot of good to conclude
that today more than asking I want to give
by saying that I want more
(I want more) More of the innocence of yesterday
(I want more) The thrill of the first time
Now, if it's about asking, let me add
(I want more) Water so my grandchildren don't go thirsty
(I want more) Clean air to see them grow
More until I can't anymore
Like a kid at Disneyland
If it's not asking too much, I want more
I want more
