Mi Iglesia

My Church
So long ago I bought a church
At the price of blood amidst raw pain
So long ago I sent my son
To rescue what was lost
So long ago I've been longing
For that humble surrender of a worshipper
Who only bows before my presence
And not the offerings of a position
So long ago I've been longing
To show my image, which is that of love
Not to be confused among so many people
To be different only like me
Not to be divided as it sometimes happens
Entering into contentions or discussions
Seeking to be greater than the other
When in the universe the greatest is me
I want a church that gives me glory
And seeks unity
I want a church that heals the wounded
That breaks chains, frees the captive
That clears the mind of the confused
And speaks truth
I want a church that, with its gaze
Offers hope to the troubled soul
I want a church that heals the wound
Of humanity
I want a flock where my sheep
Feel safe and full of peace
Where my word is their nourishment
There I want to dwell
I want a church that, with its praise
Perfumes my throne, gives me that place
A church that knows how to make a difference
Between good and evil
Where is the church, that was forgiven
And was freed from the atrocious punishment
That when seeing if someone has fallen
Extends a hand and forgives their mistake
Church awaken, the moment of your redemption is coming
