Como Dizia o Poeta
Toquinho
As the Poet Said
Whoever has gone through this life and hasn't lived,
May have more but knows less than I do.
Because life only gives itself to those who have given themselves,
To those who have loved, who have cried, who have suffered.
Whoever has never enjoyed a passion
Will never have anything, no.
There is no worse evil than disbelief,
Even love that doesn't pay off
Is better than loneliness.
Open your arms, my brother, let it fall.
Why add when we can divide.
I frankly don't even want to know anymore
About those who don't go because they're afraid of suffering.
Woe to those who don't tear their hearts,
They will have no forgiveness.
Whoever has never enjoyed a passion,
Will never have anything, no.
