Una Historia Triste
Tornillo
A Sad Story
Today I write this letter
I want it to be taken to my parents
Several times have passed
And I haven't been able to call them
I want to tell them everything is fine
That very soon one day I will return
Life is tough, but we must understand
That nothing is as easy as I thought
And what I want is to see them well
So that woman doesn't suffer anymore
Likewise, my father still holds onto faith
That I will return very soon
I didn't know the language or how to express myself
And I met a family that wasn't blood
Those who gave me food when I was hungry
Who risked everything just to take care of me
A sad story with a broken soul
Like a bird that flies and nothing defeats it
Flying alone, its direction has changed
Even though the memories hurt and life shortens
Returning to the neighborhood where I grew up
Remembering everything for which I left
If I told them, I wouldn't see the end
Writing a letter just for you
And telling my parents that I have returned
And giving them the life I always dreamed of
Telling them about the things I went through
That nothing has been easy since I left
Many ask if I will return
I don't know when, I don't know
The day I fulfill what I once dreamed
Will be when I return
A sad story with a broken soul
Like a bird that flies and nothing defeats it
Flying alone, its direction has changed
Even though the memories hurt and life shortens
