The Swallow
Where will
swift and weary
the swallow
that is leaving here
in case in the wind
it gets lost
seeking shelter
and not finding it.
Next to my bed
I will put its nest
where it can
pass the season
I too am
lost in the region
Oh Holy Heaven!
and unable to fly.
I also left
my beloved homeland
that mansion
that saw me born
my life is now
wandering and distressed
and I can no longer
return to my home.
Beloved bird
beloved pilgrim
I will bring my heart
closer to yours
I am remembering
tender swallow
I will remember
my homeland and cry.
