On the road of life for a wandering man
There are no flowers lining the way
And how could he walk among flowers
When all he's planted are thorns in his day
It's in this torment that I now reside
I keep stumbling down this road of life
And a branch full of thorns
Has covered my path, surrounded my strife
Now I'm stuck in a dead end

Today I reached a crossroads
I don’t know which way I should go
'Cause no path has a destination
For someone walking with nowhere to show
If I go left or if I go right
It makes no difference to me, I don’t care
Who’s following the path to nowhere
Doesn’t need to choose a road to bear
Just keep moving forward or turn back, I swear

I’m a living dead man with no aim in life
Wandering the world without a home
Serving as proof of the old saying
What you do on earth, you reap when you roam
If the law of life acts with fairness
And sends punishment when we go wrong
Then send death to a bum
A poor soul just dragging along
Only adding weight to the earth, where I don’t belong
