Poor Riberão
It's so dirty it's pitiful
The fish have all disappeared
There's nothing worse

The animals in the backlands
Can't stand the smell of the water
It tastes like detergent
That's why I sing this sorrow

If it stays like this
Many things will change
I won't see my little animals anymore
Nor take a river bath
Never be able to fish again

We have to find a way
And find the solution
To save nature
To have back the beauty
In the city and in the backlands
