翼の折れた弱き戦士たちよ (Weak Warriors With Broken Wings)
うぴ子 (Upiko)
Weak Warriors With Broken Wings
We're all marching in the same direction
Though not a single person is the same
It felt so unnatural to me
Trimming away our uniqueness to fit the mold
We're playing the "common sense" someone made
If you can't adapt, you're cast aside
If you don't agree, you'll get those cold stares
Where did we wash ashore in this flow?
The gravel digs into my knees
I don't want to hear
"Hang in there" anymore
I can't walk anymore
I'm so tired of walking now
Still, blooming in the gaps of this old building
Like a tiny flower
If only I could live stubbornly
When I check the news online
It seems the leading cause of death is suicide
Choosing that terrifying death
With our own hands, we pick it
A society like that is the scariest world of all
I'm gripping the railing on the rooftop tight
Maybe it wasn't that I wanted to die?
Maybe I just couldn't find a way to live
Quietly turning to bones in an empty room
Oh, boys and girls, find happiness in the afterlife
You weak warriors, wounded in spirit
Please, oh please, don't let yourselves be defeated
Is the light just a step ahead or is it darkness?
But that doesn't really matter
I don't care anymore
Even if someone's flame of life goes out
The sun rises and sets as if it's just normal
Can your legs still move?
Are your hands still warm?
Do you have the strength to grasp tomorrow yet?
