Amén sin tilde
Vaes
Amen without accent
I am Christian
Since I have memory
They told me all the stories
Of Jesus loving people
I was growing up
I saw rejection to those who were different
I saw that we were all exclusive
Until one day I understood
That being Christian
Is not ending with an amen after every prayer
It's loving each other from the heart
And understanding people's problems
Not being indifferent to pain and evil
And being Christian
Is not walking with a Bible under your arm
It's giving each other a hug
And even if we can't hug today
Understanding that receiving will never be better than giving
Amen without accent
And without borders
That each time is like the first time
Amen with strength
Amen without fear
Let love be the fire
And hatred the ice
I will start with myself
Sometimes I do the opposite of what I preach
I boast of grace but sometimes I don't apply it
That's why I beg you
Listen very well to what I'm going to say
And if the Bible in your hand prevents you from hugging
Let it go for a moment
It's better to lend a hand
Than recite all the testaments
It's better to be that friend
It's better to give that encouragement
Jesus already did it with you
In dance, He turned your mourning
Tell me why do you insist on looking at others?
On how they dress, how they act, how they will speak
Have you forgotten that we have all failed?
And that life is not about judging and condemning
They say we should love and they contradict themselves
If they don't bless those who are not the same
Amen without accent
And without borders
That each time is like the first time
Amen with strength
Amen without fear
Let love be the fire
And hatred the ice
