The Seagull
I married an Italian who came from Turin
Things got much better, everything was good for me
When our son was born, the party had no end
Then the Italians gathered, sang a song like this
The seagull has a child, how beautiful, so beautiful!
What a mouth, what a beautiful nose, and the seagull has a child!
The seagull has a child!
My Italian is beautiful and takes good care of me
Lunch and pasta, polenta and sausage
Again in our house, the stork is about to come
And we will sing that little song again
The seagull has a child, how beautiful, so beautiful!
What a mouth, what a beautiful nose, and the seagull has a child!
The seagull has a child!
My Italian wishes it to always be like this
I have to like her because she likes me
When I come back from work, her affection has no end
I pick up the boy and we sing together like this
The seagull has a child, how beautiful, so beautiful!
What a mouth, what a beautiful nose, and the seagull has a child!
The seagull has a child!
In about twenty years, if things continue like this
My Italian and I will have twenty children
But until then, my people, the years ahead of me
And we will sing that little song again
