Chalice
I peek into the empty night
through the windows of a bar
A lost dog, barking
scares me and watches as I pass
In a single moment I realize
there's no certainty at all
If I speak from my sadness
it's the work of mechanical loves
I know well that if I'm alone now
it's because I told so many lies
I know the anguish that, back then
grows in the soul, and I feel lost
I would have liked to keep you by my side
show you another life
If I talk about this agony, I just want to say
I can still believe in a night like this
That shows us again
that there's a paradise, and you can follow me
If there are so many landscapes on this road
at any point in our destiny
there will be another hidden sun, in the infinite sky
a sun that tells you:
Don't let me die
don't leave me like this
don't walk away from me
I know melancholy
at the end of another boring day
It's the feeling of being nobody
and falling, shattered, into the abyss
I'm waiting for a sign of your love
a steady hand
If I talk about this madness, I just want to say
I can still believe in a night like this
That shows us again
that there's a paradise, and you can follow me
If there are so many landscapes on this road
at any point in our destiny
there will be another hidden sun, in the infinite sky
a sun that tells you:
Don't let me die
don't leave me like this
don't walk away from me
Don't let me die.
