História de Uma Gata
Vanessa da Mata
Story of a Cat
They fed me
They petted me
They pampered me
They got me used to it
My world was the apartment
Telephone, pillow, and care
Every day filet mignon
Or even a good cat filet
They told me all the time
Stay home, don't catch the wind
But it's hard to stay in your place
When in the moonlight
So many cats in the street
All night long they sing like this
We cats are born poor
But we are born free
Sir, madam, landlord
Feline, you shall not recognize
In the morning I returned home
I was stopped at the entrance
No filet and no pillow
Because of the singing
But now my daily life
Is among the cats
Turning trash cans on the street
I am more myself, more cat
In a crazy serenade
That at night goes out singing like this
We cats are born poor
But we are born free
Sir, madam, landlord
Feline, you shall not recognize
