Após o Arrebatamento

After the Rapture

When God rises from His throne
When the last trumpet echoes
Not even the gravitational force on earth
Nor the strong wind blowing in the air
Can stop the faithful
From flying up to the high Heavens
When Jesus hears his name being called

When this happens it's the rapture
It's Jesus coming back to take his people
The Holy Spirit, the agent of Heaven
Guiding the Bride to the arms of the Groom
Eternal joy for the Church
But for those who stayed on earth it's only sadness
Desperation, pain, anguish, and suffering
It's the world after the rapture

The earth overheated, glaciers melting
Fresh water evaporates, but the seas are filling up
The Atlantic, Pacific, the Indian overflowing
Causing floods, destroying homes
Animals and people, everything in its path
The green of the forest reduced to dust and ash
Nuclear missiles darken the blue sky
The earth trembles, volcanoes erupt
The sound of the sea turns into a moan
The sun mourns, doesn't give its light
Consequently, the moon loses its beauty
The whole world sheds tears of gall
Screaming in despair, where is the church?

Where are the holy lips
That preached love, peace, freedom?
Where are the holy men
Who cried on their knees for humanity?
Where are the anointed hands
To deliver the world now from this cruel pain?
Even nature cries out declaring
That the Church ascended to Heaven

It is written and it will come to pass
He who spoke does not lie
The church will rise

It is written and it will come to pass
He who spoke does not lie
The church will rise

It will rise, the church will rise
Yes, it will rise, the church will rise
It will rise
