Abraão e Isaque
Vanilda Bordieri
Abraham and Isaac
Head down and pensive he goes
It's normal for the feelings of a good father, he moves forward
Every touch of his staff on the ground hurt his old heart more
Confident
In the divine providence to happen
There could be, in time then descend, coming from the high heavens
However, he is arriving at Moriah
To deliver his most precious jewel as a sacrifice to God
Go, Abraham
Through the woods birds singing, butterflies flying over the fields
He moves forward
For Isaac who followed closely behind
All that was peace for him, innocent
Suddenly Abraham's silence was broken by a question
It was his son
Oh, my father, the wood and fire are here
Where will we find the lamb?
And Abraham answered him
God will provide
And when they arrived at Mount Moriah
Isaac was tied on the altar, worried
Perhaps he thought to himself and said
How can my father say he loves me
With his own hands he will kill me
But silent
And the heart of old Abraham
Beat hard as he raised his hand
Suddenly he heard: Abraham, do not do such a thing - he shouted
I now know that you fear me
And Abraham rejoiced
Great is Jehovah!
And the most beautiful part now comes
Our God prepares everything very well, he is orderly
Abraham now looking with peace
Saw, caught among the thickets, a lamb
As Abraham said, the Lord provided
In place of Isaac, his son, another lamb died
Symbol of Jesus, who later truly was here
He accepted to die for you and for me
Yes, for you and for me, crucified on a cross
He suffered to save us
But he rose again, he overcame everything
Hallelujah! He overcame
Hallelujah, hallelujah
