Yo No Sé de Folclor (Chillán)
Vicente Cifuentes
I Don't Know Folklore (Chillán)
If I was born in Chillán
Which is a southern little town
That burns me in the summer
It gave me the thirst to love
All of humanity
Like any human
I don't know about folklore
I dance cueca and ranchera
My heart keeps me
My grandmothers take care of me
If you leave
Come back before it gets darker
Don't stay in the square
See that life goes by and you stay
And you leave
You go south, north and I don't know
If here we are what we are
Let that pepper tree grow
For the spring
If I was born in Chillán
There's a possibility of suffering winters
That's why when I sing
I've become tropical
Like in the new times
I never said no
To those who did
When I wanted warmth
I danced with my grandfather
If you leave
Come back before it gets darker
Don't stay in the square
See that life goes by and you stay
And you leave
You go south, north and I don't know
If here we are what we are
Let that pepper tree grow
For the spring
I don't know about folklore
Nor do I come from elsewhere
I sing bachata and who
Would have imagined it
If you leave
Come back before it gets darker
Don't stay in the square
See that life goes by and you stay
And you leave
You go south, north and I don't know
If here we are what we are
Let that pepper tree grow
For the spring
For the spring
For the spring
For the spring
The spring of Chillán
