Mi Vejez
Vicente Fernández
My Old Age
Yesterday they called me old
For a moment, I shuddered
Then I looked at myself in the mirror
And finally noticed how much I've aged
I shouldn't suffer because of that
I am at peace with this age
If I'm going to leave the port
I will depart with dignity
Why cry
Why suffer
If in the end the beings we love so much
Sooner or later, will leave
Why cry
Why suffer
If in every wrinkle and every gray hair
I left a story of my life
I go with my face to the wind
I will never hide my gray hairs
In the battle of time
With great pride, I earned them
I shouldn't feel ashamed
For these furrows on my skin
They are the fruits of experience
Of bitter hours, hours of honey
Why cry
Why suffer
If in the end the beings we love so much
Sooner or later, will leave
Why cry
Why suffer
If in every wrinkle and every gray hair
I left a story of my life
