Al Pie de Un Árbol
Vicente Fernández
At the Foot of a Tree
At the foot of an old tree
They planted a rose
And as time passed
It became very beautiful
The tree protected
The plant with its shadows
Invited it to life
Invited it from its soul
Many months passed
Maybe years, I don't remember
She grew pretty
But he was already sick
Time went by
And the tree without leaves
They cut the branches
They cut the branches
And it no longer gave shade
From that once large tree
Almost nothing remains
But the plant continues
Clings to the tree
As the days go by
That plant is surrounding
The tree that is sad
And is already drying up
They are both united
Much more by their roots
And the time they have left
They intend to be happy
Even if the tree dies
Maybe this autumn
To the beautiful plant
To the beautiful plant
Three shoots come
