La Tragedia Del Vaquero
Vicente Fernández
The Cowboy's Tragedy
Almost sounded twelve
When that cowboy arrived
He unsaddled his horse
And took off his hat
He came to spend the night
With the prettiest girl in town
They were newlyweds
He went to work for three days
Burning with desire
For the woman he loved
Death was lurking
And no one sensed it
It was raining heavily
They were lulled by the dripping
Because they didn't notice
When the cowboy arrived
A lightning bolt illuminated
Two bodies in bed
Hatred blinded his mind
He aimed at them in rage
Gunshots were heard
Until the bullets ran out
He wanted to avenge the offense
That's what he thought
When he discovered the bodies
He wanted to die of sadness
First, he hugged his wife
Then his dead mother
The storm was night
He gave them a surprise
His mother, due to the distance
Visited them very little
And felt fearful
If the sky was lightning
That's why they slept together
To feel accompanied
After they were buried
A shot was heard in the distance
The tragedy was foreseen
By the events
Where a shot was heard
The cowboy was dead
