Desde El Pirulí
Victor Manuel
From The Lollipop
From the lollipop you can see a country
confused and happy in profile
that is discovering what it's like
even though it knows well what it doesn't want to be.
My TV never reached such heights
it broadcasts in black and white like in 'palcolor'
in this vast medium the sun never sets
there are only dead zones of imagination
they are omnipresent in every corner
when they talk about uniforms, the color fades away.
I don't always make mistakes by chance
a timely glance can be deadly
there are things that are kept quiet out of necessity
and others are not uncovered because they smell bad
I keep the memory and I won't forget
neither the fear, nor the names, nor what's behind.
We measure our words with a meter
it's something they call good manners
probably someone thinks what is not
that when one measures up, they don't understand well
I work on the trapeze as you can see
I keep the balance because I have a safety net.
