Paxarinos

Birds
Birds that go singing, tell her
That in the struggle and in the failures I remember her.
That my loves and the greatness weigh on me,
Of the mountains, rivers, and valleys of my land.
And if I go through the carmen I must buy
A very short rope for your parents.
So they can tie you tight, oh! so they can tie you,
Your parents don't want to see you dance.
Birds that go singing, tell her
That in the struggle and in the failures I remember her.
I remember those young men who are in the mine
Because only my saint watches over them.
