If Jesus came back
They'd crucify him again on another cross
The merchants of this time would accuse him
Of violence and causing property damage
If Jesus came back
They'd call him a liar or a fraud
They'd say every miracle is just an illusion and a trick
And if he heals the sick without a degree, he'd end up in jail

They'd think he was some crazy guy, take him to a mental hospital
They'd slap him on one cheek and beat him up with the other
Many who love him would deny him
Just like Peter did when the rooster crowed
And with the hands that have prayed to him
Those same hands would crucify him, that's how it would be

Blessed will be everyone who can see him
The merchants will try to convince him
To promote their stuff, saying they'll pay him for it

The politicians would want him on their side
Every party would claim he's supporting them
And with a crown of thorns, they'd crown him again
