The King of glory stripped of majesty
And sat with sinners, no shine or throne revealed
Who would know that your eyes saw how the universe was made?
Who would believe that His scepter once ruled time?

A man so humble, with no place to rest his head
In a stable, not the best place to make his debut
Who would notice that His voice called the world to existence?
And those hands formed man in His likeness?

Like a Lamb, silent He was led to the slaughter
There was no glory, His heart torn on the cross
He remained silent and signed for all our faults
There were no stains, on Calvary He didn’t complain
He was mistreated and humiliated
The Lamb of God, yet He was faithful to the end
Who takes away the sin of the world
And reveals eternity and His glory in me
