You Are
You are the dew that nourishes a rose
You are the rose that adorns the garden
You are the garden that decorates the meadow
You are the endless radiant field
You are a ray of light among the shadows
You are gentle and faithful shadow
You are the bluish mantle of space
You are the arm that unites me with the sky
You are the ideal dream of poetry
That radiates in the rhyme of the verse
In the candor of my day to day
The total secret of the universe
You are the cradle that rocks what is born
You are the face of the redeemed soul
You are the step to the eternal ascent
You are life, my God
You are life
You are the bridge that lies over the abyss
You are the source of the springs
You are the sweet murmur of the waters
In the desert, you are a haven of peace
You who reign above death
You are the strength that sustains the cross
You are the north that guides the son
You are the brightness in the eyes of Jesus
You are the ideal dream of poetry
That radiates in the rhyme of the verse
In the candor of my day to day
The total secret of the universe
You are the cradle that rocks the little one who is born
You are the face of the redeemed soul
You are the step to the eternal ascent
You are life, my God
You are the bridge that lies over the abyss
You are the source of the springs
You are the sweet murmur (not noise, right!)
You are the sweet murmur of the waters
In the desert, oh God, you are a haven of peace
You who reign above death
You are the strong, the strong one who sustains the cross
You are the north, you are the north that guides the son
You are the brightness, oh, you are the brightness
In the gaze, gaze, gaze, gaze of Jesus
