Rancho Das Flores

Vinicius de Moraes Vinicius de Moraes

Rancho of Flowers

Among the garments with which nature
Cheered this world where there is so much sadness
The beauty of flowers stands out in the first place
It's a miracle of flowery aroma
More beautiful than all the graces of heaven
And even of the sea
Look closely at the rose
There is none more beautiful
It's the flower of lovers
It's the woman-rose
Which in perfume and in nobility
Comes before the carnation
And the lily and the Hydrangea
And the dahlia and the good chrysanthemum
And even the pure and gentle daisy
And notice the carnation, the slave of the rose
Which is the most fragrant flower
Of subtle ornament
And in the lily that causes the delirium of the rose
The martyrdom of the soul of the rose
Which is the most vain and proud flower
Among the flowers of our Brazil
Make way for the graceful dahlia
With the most colorful hue
Of the great garden of the existence of flowers
So full of gentle colors
And also for the innocent Hydrangea
The happiest flower
In the blue of its soft and happy body
Satisfied with life
Comes the daisy
Which is the favorite flower of those with passion
And now it's the turn of the red poppy
Which gives so much honey to the bees
And brightens this world so sad
In the love that is my heart
And now that we have the good chrysanthemum
Let's sing its name in verse and in prose
But it doesn't have the beauty of the rose
That a rose is not just a flower
A rose is a rose, is a rose
It's the woman exuding love
