Terra Desafortunada
Vinicius F. Souza
Unlucky Land
In that unlucky field
Where drought is a double burden
The farm dwindles to nothing
And despair spreads over time
The Hilux no longer shines
The brightness it once brought has faded
The farmer struggles in vain
In the arid land, with no solution
The young girls no longer look
At the farmer, their ideals have changed
Now they only give a chance to the engineers
The field is left behind, like my faith (yeah, yeah)
And the farmer continues lonely
With his crushed straw hat
He plants hope in dead soil
Hoping for a miracle to happen
But the rain will never come again
And life on the farm will finally end
The Hilux has fallen apart, no turning back
So the farmer sinks into bitterness
In the unlucky field there is only pain
In the farmer's heart, only fear
He says goodbye, gives up the journey
For in the field his life has already been buried
