Esperando Mi Juicio

Waiting for My Trial
Living like a dog? Nah, the goal is to stack cash
Like they say to the blind guy, go on, take off those shades
To see the reality of what happened to me
Just about to cross, they hit me with the freight
That city of San Diego, I carry it with me
Still waiting for my trial to break free from this hell
They’re keeping me locked up, the reasons I’ll keep to myself
I don’t know what I owe, or how much I should pay
I’ve tried to figure it out
My blood’s boiling
Time’s running out
The pain that a loved one feels
My chest feels like it’s burning
Now that I’ve learned to appreciate, the rest just doesn’t matter
The old man was a great person, they took his life away
And something that’s priceless, family and well-being
I think of my mom and her strength every single day
Even if they wait without tears, they’ll grant me my way out
I started hitting the books but the pay just wasn’t enough
Had a low position but I worked my way up
Ambition and friendship, they’re not a bad mix
Consequences come my way, the visits with the white folks
In one day, two years will pass
With reasons
To stay calm
And all I can do is wait
To see what the Americans will come up with
Sitting here, I’ll keep waiting for my trial
