Beatus Vir

Blessed is the man who fears the Lord:
He will greatly delight in His commandments.
His descendants will be powerful on earth:
The generation of the upright,
Will be blessed.
Glory and riches in his house:
And his righteousness will endure forever.
Light rises in the darkness
For the upright, merciful,
And compassionate and just.
Blessed is the man who is gracious and lends,
He will guide his words with justice:
For he will not be moved
Forever.
The righteous will be remembered forever:
He will not fear bad news.
His heart is steadfast, trusting in the Lord
His heart is established:
He will not be moved,
Until he looks in triumph on his enemies.
He has distributed freely, he has given to the poor:
His righteousness endures forever:
His horn will be exalted in glory.
The sinner will see and be angry,
He will gnash his teeth and waste away
The desire of the wicked will perish.
Glory to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit.
As it was in the beginning,
And now,
And forever.
And for ages of ages.
