Nunca Mais

Never again will the world hear the voice
Of the people who give glory to God here
Never again will they hear the hallelujah song
For we will sing up in Zion
Never again sadness and loneliness
Death, pain, anguish, and lamentation
All of this I will never see or feel
When I finally depart for Zion!

I know the emotion will be great
When the sky finally opens up
I even think my heart
Won't be able to handle all this joy
And I will meet Jesus face to face
And see the signs in His hands
I want to hear Him say up close
Come to me, blessed of my Father!

I dream of the streets of Jerusalem
The squares and the crystal walls
I can already see the Lord's throne by faith
And the river of life flowing from it
I keep imagining how it must be
The face of the beloved Savior
When my eyes behold His eyes
I will cry tears of happiness!
