Os Aprovados

The Approved Ones

God chooses the least of a impoverished tribe
Who was threshing wheat hidden from the Midianites
To be the warrior, the hero of the nation
Gideon had God placed in his heart

He gathers the people to go to war
Thirty-two thousand armed to fight
Then God appears and surprises him
Gideon, wait, there are too many people
Do as I command you, for I will select

Cowards and fearful, go back
For in my army only those who are brave warriors fight
Courage is one of the first things I look at
And from this choice, ten thousand remained to fight

God said: Bring them all down to the river
And there I will show who will be my great warriors
At the end of the story, three hundred remained who were approved
But it was the three hundred that God had selected

It may be beautiful, be intelligent
Have a ring on your finger, be a super believer
Wear expensive clothes, imported cars
Be well known or be elitist
But if you are not brave, a true believer
A firebrand that never surrenders
You will not be chosen to be
One of the three hundred separated militants

And you must have a torch, you must have fire
You must blow the trumpet, you must be brave
You must break the jar, you must be true
You must be valorous, you must be a warrior

March soldiers, blow the trumpets
Break the jars, charge forward
I can't say but I think I am
Seeing the enemies going crazy killing each other
And the church winning
Winning, winning, winning

Winning, winning, winning

We are chosen by God to be honored
Here on this earth we have to be used
Today God chooses you to be one of the three hundred
