The Last Seven Days
On the first day of the last seven days
He saw the world and said:
"I’ll take the animals back to Me
or else they’ll be lost just like the people."
He saw His creatures weeping,
He saw His creatures crying,
but not one of them prayed.
The first day passed by.
On the second day of the last seven days
He saw the world and said:
"I’ll take the trees and the flowers back to Me
because you don’t deserve to have them touch your eyes any longer."
On the third of the last seven days
He saw the world and said:
"No more moon and no more stars,
because you deserve nothing but shadows."
He saw His creatures weeping,
He saw His creatures crying,
but not one of them prayed.
And another day passed by.
On the fourth day of the last seven days
He saw the world and said:
"I’ll take those few faithful ones back to Me,
because I don’t want them to die with the others."
On the fifth day of the last seven days
He saw the world and said:
"I’ll take the sun back to Me,
its golden glow is way too beautiful for them."
And He saw His creatures weeping,
He saw His creatures crying,
but not one of them prayed.
And another day passed by.
On the sixth day of the last seven days
He saw the world and said:
"Now the fire comes, and they will burn
of whom not one pays Me any attention.
And when He saw that desolate world
on the last day,
He too wept.
