Through These Streets
Through these streets compassion no longer appears
and pity left on a trip long ago
as she was leaving, the police were chasing her
hey conscience, you better hide with patience.
Nowhere to be found are traces of courage
those who saw her say she was pale and cold
she realized she was alone and without company
every time she showed her face, she looked defeated.
Chorus:
So be careful of the corners,
don't get distracted when you walk
because to take care of you, I only have this life of mine.
(Chorus)
Through these streets there are so many crooks and wrongdoers
and in that, creed, race, or colors don't matter
you risk it if you go around saying what you think
a good man's head is put up for a price.
And those in white-collar are the worst
because besides burning you, they call themselves gentlemen hey have friends in high influential positions
and some even run for president.
