Fumando Con Marcianos
Yo.Soy.Rey
Smoking with Martians
It's noon and I get out of bed
Not 'cause I want to, but 'cause they’re calling me
I try to ignore it, but they throw rocks at the window
I peek out and see Neto with a weed bat
Smiling, he says, "If you’re sleeping, what’s the problem?"
Last night I was up working on a track
But it’s all good, he brought the good stuff
The kind that’s sticky and smokes slow when it burns
I don’t complain, my brother, come on in
He sits down to roll it like a pro
A bat doesn’t light up if it’s not rolled right
And I haven’t even smoked yet, but I’m feeling the munchies
About to light it up, and we both got interrupted
In the house, everything was floating with white light and loud noise
I peeked out the window, mouth open and surprised
And in the yard, two Martians got out of a spaceship
We ducked down under the table
The Martian came over and spoke to me, to my surprise
He said, "We’re here to give you answers
And we brought weed to smoke from another planet"
The weed they had, I’d never seen before
Pink, clear, and the hairs were fluorescent
I rolled it with one hand, and it lit up by itself
I took two hits, passed it, and they nodded to my track
The Martian told me, "You’re the best rapper alive
And that’s why today, Earthling, we came to talk to you
You have a mission you still haven’t completed
And it’s to tell the world what’s happened to you today"
Sounds good, Martian, but pass me that bat
The fan smokes it while he talks nonsense
Coughing, "My bad, human, that leaf is fire"
Hahaha, don’t mind it, Martian
Then, through telepathy, they spoke to my mind
And they said, "It’s not a lie what people tell you
Government and religion just oppress continents
And we do exist, and the president knows it
Don’t let them lie to you, they’re false prophets
God lives inside you, not in doctrines or churches
Man doesn’t progress if he doesn’t finish what he starts
And in the essence of your life, that’s where your wealth is found"
We watch over you, we protect you, and we heal ourselves
With the infinite stupidity of many human beings
We gifted you marijuana, the Internet, and microchips
And in Area 51, my cousin is kidnapped
Humans weren’t born to be slaves of the state
Though many don’t care 'cause they’re used to it
Freedom doesn’t exist because everyone is governed
Insanity is doing the same thing and expecting a different result
And just like they came, they vanished into their ship
But before they left, they dropped a couple of clues
Rappers every day pollute the earthly rap
Don’t mind it if they judge you for talking to aliens
Damn crazy.
