Tiempos mejores

Better Times
From a very young age I knew loneliness
and felt a lot of fear in the
obscurity
I understood that life wasn't easy for
me
that I would have to fight if I wanted
to be happy
and I thought: someday I will achieve it
better times will always come
I walked a thousand paths looking for love
I found it on a beach and it only left me
a splinter stuck right here in my
heart
and a few ghosts inside my
room
and I thought: someday I will find it
better times will always come
I visited 100 countries, I always liked
to travel
different people, many ways of
thinking
but the poor people who always suffer and
give
they were no different everywhere was
the same
and I thought: I will only tell them
better times will always come
better times will always come
I listened to the news today on television
deaths and injuries from Ireland to
Ecuador
distorted faces due to hunger and
anxiety
it was rivers of blood that I could
imagine
better times will always come
I live with the hope of seeing a blue
sky
of leaving the children at least a ray of
light
better times will always come
better times will always come
