Bird
Yuya Matsushita
Bird
Flowers, trees, and us are all sad
We have no choice but to look up at the sky
On this journey of looking down, we realize
And rise up again
You, sleeping, seem so sad
Seems like you're having a bad dream
I'm here, right beside you
Not thinking about where to go
How do I live without you?
Everyone looks up at the sky
Looking up, then lowering their eyes
Regretting not being able to find the blue sky they once saw
We've been living by swapping freedom and selfishness
In a night sky without stars
Wandering with eyes that can't see a destination
There was nothing to fear
Just because there was nothing to protect
Even tomorrow, or ten years from now
I'm scared of myself right now
I need to hug my sweet heart
Everyone cries in the sky
Spreading their arms to dream
Protecting the blue sky they once saw
Forever
In the shadow freely flying and flitting about
I no longer long for it
No one is free, freedom isn't like that
There's just no path in the sky
In the sky called you
Imprisoning only me
I won't go anywhere anymore
I won't go anywhere
Everyone is in the sky
In the past called freedom
As long as you're there
This sky doesn't need wings
