Décimas de um Cantador
Zé Ramalho
Verses of a Troubadour
The mission of a troubadour is to walk the roads
Carrying out his function in improvised rhymes
A minstrel of the abysses of haunted regions
Against the negative force that drags those who want to fall
A king begins to roar against this harmful beast
That dwells in living flesh within us with fury
But there is a defender to defend the believer
Remove the lion with the seed and you have the destroyer
To talk about a troubadour, theories alone are not enough
Neither fear nor fantasies express his worth
He is not a doctor nor does he have a position
But in any gathering when he sings his verse
The people are happy with his disposition
He tells so many stories that captivate with his charisma
A people that never doubts with its futile struggles
And having these memories, borders to be unveiled
A little will focus on the cells of his judgment
And the fire of improvisation begins to burn immediately
