Canticle of the Creatures
Almighty and good Lord, to you the honor, glory, and praise!
All blessings come from you
And all the people say: amen!
Praised be you in the creatures
First the sun, up in the heights
Brightens the day, great splendor
Radiant image of you, Lord
Praised be you for sister moon
In the sky you created, it's your work
For the stars, clear and beautiful
You are the source of their brightness
Praised be you for brother wind
And for the clouds, the air, and the weather
And for the rain that falls on the ground
It gives us sustenance
God of creation
Almighty and good Lord, to you the honor, glory, and praise!
All blessings come from you and all the people say: amen!
Praised be you, my good Lord
For sister water and its value
Precious and chaste, humble and good
If it flows, it sings a song to you
Praised be you, oh, my Lord
For brother fire and its heat
Brightens the night, robust and strong
Beautiful and joyful, blessed fate
Praised be you for sister earth
Mother who sustains and governs us
Produces fruits, gives us bread
With flowers and herbs, the ground smiles
Almighty and good Lord, to you the honor, glory, and praise!
All blessings come from you
And all the people say: amen!
Praised be you, my good Lord
For the people who in your love
Forgive and endure tribulation
They will find happiness in you
Praised be you for sister death
That comes to all, to the weak and the strong
Happy is the one who loves you
Eternal death will not kill them
Blessed is the one who keeps peace
For the Most High satisfies them
Let's praise and thank
With humility, bless the Lord
Almighty and good Lord, to you the honor, glory, and praise!
All blessings come from you
And all the people say: amen!
