O Milagre do Ladrão
Zilo e Zalo
The Miracle of the Thief
An innocent six-year-old
Sadly lived because he couldn't walk
Always sitting in a wheelchair
Sadly watched his little friends play
His very poor mother would say
Every night at bedtime
Beloved son, you will be healed
Our Lord will come one day to heal you
The innocent one full of hope
To his mother he said full of faith
If it's true that Jesus will heal me
I want to know then what he's like
His mother amidst sobs replied
With her face all bathed in tears
Our Lord is a very poor old man
Long beard and very white hair
On a very cold and rainy night
Of storm and great darkness
Through the boy's room window
At that moment, a thief entered
The innocent seeing that bearded man
Got up, his faith was so great
He thought God had come to heal him
He walked out, knelt at his feet
Lord of heaven, I thank you immensely
Mom said you would come to heal me, thank you very much
I'm better, I'm walking now
With my friends, tomorrow I can play
Don't go, stay a little longer with me
Every night, mom teaches me to pray
Sit with me, my bed is quite big
I will now kiss your beautiful face
Upon receiving that kiss from the innocent
That man trembled with remorse
He walked away with tears in his eyes
He understood the whole scene
His conscience hurt him at that moment
He walked away seeming like a vision
The innocent was healed in that moment
Unaware that it was the miracle of a thief
