Great Hope
The rural class and the working class
Anxiously await agrarian reform
Knowing that it will provide a solution
For the precarious situation
Emerging from Brazilian soil
For each rural worker to gain their land
I know no one would live in misery
And production would increase
Five hundred percent even in livestock!
This great crisis that arose in time
Mistreats the countryman, hurting his pride
Within a rich and lofty country,
Brazilians die of hunger and cold.
In our cities rich in real estate
Millions of cars have already been produced,
While the poor worker
Lives tight on a salary
That rises after everything else has gone up!
Our farmer who lives off the land
Only gets half of his production
Because the seed he sows
Has to be shared with his boss!
Our rural worker lives in a dilemma
And the problem has no solution
Because the rich man who lives comfortably
Thinks that if the project is signed
It will be violating the Constitution!
But great hope guides the people
And they pray to Jesus
To guide the poor along their path
And for the family not to lack bread.
They do not let capitalism
Lead our nation to ruin,
The inequality here is so great
While the rich man doesn't know what he earns
The poorest of the poor live in illusion!
