Survivor
Survivor,
You fight every day to fill your belly a little
You fight to be able to feed yourself
What is food for you, maybe garbage for other people
Walking, always hungry..
God gave you life, now look where you are
You have to fight to try to be capable
Be strong and don't fall into the evil of stealing
When it's so difficult that others have much more
And you just looking for something to ease the fatigue
Your hands in the trash
It doesn't matter what those who watch say,
Let them watch the rich fill their bellies
And then say if they like what they see
Survivor,
You fight every day to fill your belly a little
You fight to be able to feed yourself
What is food for you, maybe garbage for other people
Walking, always hungry..
The moon witnessed your journey
It knows the sadness that fits in your dispossessed head
You are surviving, don't think your life is a punishment
My lord knows, I tell you
Who doesn't deserve more won't have it
Because it teaches us when we see things pass by
But your wealth is not here, it's in another place
Where to get there, you have to remember one love
Survivor, there are no more things to leave behind
Your daily struggle is to not stop breathing
Survivor.. teach us a little humility..
Survivor child of Jah...
